Documentary Filmmaking

War Heroes on Water

this is the largest veteran specific non-profit event, and for this year’s documentary I was the Director of Photography, which included a team of 9 filmmakers coordinating a week’s long event of live event coverage, same-day edits, a virtual livestream, candid photography, action coverage, and numerous events. What an incredible and rewarding experience!

Aids LifeCycle 2022

Several months of preparatory filming, nearly a dozen individual standalone videos, and over 500 miles of ground covered, this project was one for the books. Perhaps the best group of people we’ve ever filmed, and the friendliest experience any filmmaker could ask for, this project was a dream!

Mental Health // Veterans + Google

We traveled 8 states over 12 days, capturing heartfelt and moving stories from real-life Veterans in a web series advocating mental health awareness, advocacy, and improvement.

WHOW 2021

The 2021 War Heroes on Water fishing tournament, sponsored by Loan Depot helps retired Vets learn to heal, bond, and grow by putting them on some of Southern California’s best boats around for a multi-day fishing tournament.

STORYTELLING

MEETING PEOPLE WHO HAVE INCREDIBLE STORIES IS ONE OF THE MANY BENEFITS TO BEING A FILMMAKER. IT’S OUR JOB, HOWEVER, TO BE SURE TO TELL THEIR STORY AS WELL AS WE CAN, AS THOROUGHLY AS POSSIBLE, AND AS BEAUTIFULLY AS CAN BE.

REALITY TV

A major player in the TV world is reality filmmaking. You may not always have the luxury of planning and choreographing the nuances of a show, so being quick on your feet and finding the scenes to tell a story are what make for great reality television.
